Why your Telegram Stars price can be different

Telegram’s table shows estimates for App Store and Google Play purchases, billed in USD with 0% VAT. Telegram says any difference comes from the buyer’s location, the payment provider and local laws such as tax rules. So a person in a country with VAT, or paying in another currency, can see a different price.

Two more things change what you see:

  • Where you buy. Telegram’s documentation lists Apple and Google in-app purchases, Telegram’s own @PremiumBot, and payment via Fragment, which also allows larger purchases. Telegram says the payment provider can change the final price.
  • The package. You pay for a package, such as 50 or 150 Stars. If a bot asks for 150 Stars and you have 40, you buy a package that covers the rest.

The price that Telegram shows you before you confirm is the price you pay.

Where to buy Telegram Stars

You buy Telegram Stars inside Telegram. Telegram’s documentation names three ways: Apple and Google in-app purchases, the @PremiumBot bot, and payment via Fragment. You don’t buy Stars from a bot maker or from this site. When a bot invoice needs more Stars than you have, Telegram offers to buy the missing Stars first.

For the steps in the app, and how to pay a bot’s invoice, read how to buy Telegram Stars and pay a bot.

Nobody needs your Telegram login code to send you Stars. A person who offers cheap Stars in a private message and asks for your code or a card number is a scammer.

What Stars buy in the bots on this site

On this site, Pro in 27 bots costs 150 Stars and Pro in 3 bots costs 75 Stars. Each is a one-time payment. In Telegram’s table that is $2.99 or $1.49 for the Stars. Some bots unlock Pro for the whole group, some for one user. The group price means one admin pays once and every member gets Pro.

Three examples:

  • Santa Draw: 150 Stars once per group. Pro allows more than 10 people in a Secret Santa, plus /exclude and /redraw.
  • Mafia Night: 150 Stars once per group, up to 20 players and Bunker mode. It also sells a monthly Stars subscription.
  • Truth Dare Friends: 75 Stars once per group for more prompt packs and your own prompts.

Can you get Telegram Stars back?

A bot can refund a Stars payment. Telegram’s Bot API gives developers a refund method for Stars purchases, and Telegram requires bots that sell digital goods to respond to the /paysupport command about payment problems. If something you paid for didn’t arrive, send /paysupport in that bot first and describe the problem with the date.

If the bot doesn’t answer, the payment guide explains the next steps. Keep the payment message in the chat. It helps the developer find your payment.
