What it does
What Mafia Night does
MafiaNightProBot runs the party game Mafia in a Telegram group. Send /mafia to open a lobby. Players tap Join, and the host taps Start when at least 4 players are in. The bot sends each player a secret role in a private message: Mafia, Doctor, Detective or Civilian.
Nights happen in private messages, where the Mafia, the Doctor and the Detective pick a person. Days happen in the group: players talk, accuse and vote. A night lasts 90 seconds and a day lasts 120 seconds. There is one Mafia for every 4 players, the Doctor plays with 5 or more players and the Detective with 6 or more. The bot closes any game after 3 hours.
Bunker is a second game, for groups with Pro. Each player gets a private survivor card with a profession, a health note, a trait and an item. The bot names one of 6 catastrophes, and the group votes people out until only the seats of the bunker are left. The bunker has seats for half of the players, at least 2.

Privacy
What the bot stores
From the bot's own privacy notes.
For each group the bot stores the id, title, the Pro status and its end date, who added the bot and the time of the last game.
For the game in progress it stores one record: the host, the players (Telegram id, display name, language), each player's role, the night choices and the votes. A timer closes a game after 3 hours at most.
Reports and payment-help messages you send are stored as text. The bot also keeps totals as counters and the link tag a user first arrived from, such as site.

Questions about Mafia Night
How many players do I need?
At least 4, and at most 12 on the free plan. Pro for the group raises the maximum to 20. There is one Mafia for every 4 players. The Doctor plays with 5 or more players and the Detective with 6 or more.
Why did a player get no role?
Each player must open the bot in a private chat first, because a bot cannot write first to a person. The Join button opens that chat. The bot names the players it could not reach.
What does Pro cost?
Pro is per group. An admin pays in a private chat with the bot: 150 Stars once, or 100 Stars every 30 days. Pro adds up to 20 players and Bunker mode.
Does the bot need admin rights?
No. Mafia Night runs in any group without admin rights. The host or an admin can end a game with /stop.
