A Telegram group can host a real game night with no extra app. You add a game bot to the group, send one command, and players tap buttons. The hard part is to pick the right game for the number of people and the mood.
This guide covers the game bots made by the maker of this site. It tells you which game fits which group, how to start each one, and the one rule that stops most problems.
Pick a game by group size and mood
| Game | Players | Mood |
|---|---|---|
| Spy Party | 3 to 12 | Fast, talk and bluff |
| Mafia Night | 4 to 12 (20 with Pro) | Long, strategy |
| Truth Dare Friends | Up to 25 | Personal, one player at a time |
| Party Pack | Any | Casual, no sign-up |
| Trivia Daily | Any | One quiz a day |
| Icebreaker Daily | Any | One question a day |
| Daily Tarot | Any | Light, for fun |

The one rule for role games: press Start first
Spy Party, Mafia Night and Truth Dare Friends send secret roles or prompts by private message. Telegram does not let a bot start a conversation with a person. The person must message the bot first.
So before the first round, ask every player to open the bot in a private chat and press Start once. A player who skips this step gets no role. Spy Party leaves that player out of the round, and cancels the round if fewer than 3 players got a role. Mafia Night names the players it could not reach.
Tip: Post the bot’s name in the group 10 minutes before the game and ask everyone to press Start. It saves the first round.
Spy Party: find the spy
Everyone gets the same secret place, except one player, the spy. Players ask each other questions, then vote. The spy wins by staying hidden or by guessing the place.
- Add the bot to the group. It needs no admin rights.
- Send
/spy. The bot posts a round card with Join and Start. - Let players tap Join. You need 3 to 12 players.
- Tap Start. Each player gets the place, or the spy role, by private message.
- Ask questions and vote. A round lasts 8 minutes. The bot then reveals the spy and the place.
- You: /spy.
- Spy Party: 🕵️ Spy Party · new round. Players: 5 — you, Maya, Leo, Sam, Ana. Buttons: 🙋 Join, ▶️ Start.
- Spy Party: ▶️ Round started · 8 minutes. Free rounds use 10 places. Pro for this group opens all 40. Buttons: ⭐ Unlock Pro · 150 Stars.
- Invoice: Spy Party Pro. All 40 places for every round. For this group. Pay 150 Telegram Stars.
An example built from the bot's real commands. Replies in your chat can differ.
Free rounds use 10 places. Pro is 150 Stars (about $3) once per group and opens all 40 places.
Free to start. Pro is a one-time 150 Stars (about $3.00) per group. Send /pro in the bot.
Mafia Night: the classic for bigger groups
Send /mafia to open a lobby. Players tap Join, and the host taps Start when 4 or more are in. Each player gets a role in private: Mafia, Doctor, Detective or Civilian. There is one Mafia for every 4 players. The Doctor plays with 5 or more players and the Detective with 6 or more.
Nights happen in private messages and last 90 seconds. Days happen in the group and last 120 seconds, with talk and a vote. The host or an admin can end a game with /stop.
The free plan takes 4 to 12 players. Pro per group costs 150 Stars once or 100 Stars (about $2) every 30 days. It raises the limit to 20 players and adds Bunker, a survival game you start with /bunker.
Free to start. Pro is a one-time 150 Stars (about $3.00) per group, also offered as a monthly Stars subscription. Send /pro in the bot.
Truth or dare: two bots, two styles
Truth Dare Friends is a turn-based game. Send /play, friends tap Join, and someone taps Spin. The bot picks one player and sends that player a truth or a dare in private. The player does it in the group and taps Done, or taps Skip. A round takes up to 25 players, and a turn is open for 180 seconds. Only members of your group can join. The free Classic pack has 80 PG prompts. Group Pro is 75 Stars (about $1.50) once and adds the Party, Deep Talk and Mix packs and your own prompts.
Party Pack posts prompts straight into the chat, with no lobby. Send /truth, /dare, /wyr (Would You Rather), /nhie (Never Have I Ever) or /random. A Next player button hands the turn to a random recently active member. Prompts do not repeat in a category until the whole pack has been shown. Free: 40 prompts per category. Pro is 150 Stars per user and adds 80 more per category and an opt-in 18+ Spicy pack, turned on with /spicy.
- You: /truth.
- Party Pack: 🙊 Truth. What is the last song you played on repeat?
- Maya: /wyr.
- Party Pack: 🤔 Would you rather. live by the sea or in the mountains?
- You: /spicy.
- Party Pack: 🌶️ The Spicy pack is Pro. Free: 40 prompts per category, 160 in total. Pro: 320 more prompts and an opt-in 18+ Spicy pack. Buttons: ⭐ Unlock Pro · 150 Stars.

Quiet days: trivia, icebreakers and tarot
Not every day is a game night. These bots keep a group talking with one post a day.
