The organizer never sees the matches
After the draw you get a list of names and links, not a list of pairs. Each link holds one match in the part after the # sign. Browsers do not send that part to any server.
Be honest with your group about one limit: the link is encoded, not encrypted. Someone who decodes it by hand can read it. So send each link only to its owner, in a private chat.
The tool saves your name list in this browser, so a reload keeps it. It never saves the matches.

Secret Santa generator questions
Is this Secret Santa generator free?
Yes. There is no account, no email and no limit on draws. You can add up to 100 people.
Can the organizer see who has who?
Not on the screen. After the draw you get one link per person, and each link opens one match. The match is encoded in the link, not encrypted. A person who decodes a link by hand can read it, so send each link only to its owner.
Are the names sent to a server?
No. The draw runs in your browser. The match sits in the part of the link after the # sign, and browsers do not send that part to a server. Your list of names is saved in this browser only, so a reload keeps it. Press Clear to remove it.
How is the draw random?
The tool shuffles the list with the Fisher-Yates method and your browser's secure random numbers (crypto.getRandomValues). If a shuffle breaks a rule, for example someone draws themselves or a couple draws each other, it shuffles again.
Can I keep couples from drawing each other?
Yes. Add a rule for each pair. You can also turn on “No two-way swaps”, so that if Anna gets Ben, Ben does not get Anna. If no draw fits all the rules, the tool tells you.
Someone lost their link. What now?
If your page is still open, copy their link again from the list. If you closed the page, the matches are gone, because they were never saved. Draw again and send everyone a new link.
