Join request: A request to join a group or channel through an invite link with admin approval on. An admin, or a bot such as Join Approve, approves it.

Which admin rights does each bot need?

Join Approve: the right to add members. Group Gate: Ban users and Delete messages. Group Shield and Subgate: delete messages and restrict members. Subgate also needs to be an admin of the channel.

Do these bots read our messages?

Group Pulse stores message counts only, never the text. Group Gate's Pro link filter checks messages from members who joined less than 24 hours ago and does not store the text.

Can a bot welcome new members?

Yes. Join Approve sends each approved person one welcome message by private message. Group Gate posts a welcome card with your own text in the group.

Can I try Pro first?
