What it does
What Join Approve does
JoinApproveProBot approves the join requests of your Telegram channel or group the moment they arrive, so no admin has to tap Approve. The person who asked to join then gets one welcome message from the bot in a private chat.
To set it up, add the bot to the channel or group as an admin with the right to add members, and turn on "Request admin approval" for your invite link. The welcome message goes only to the person who sent the request, within 5 minutes of the request.
On the free plan the welcome message is the bot's default text, followed by a short line and one button that point to this bot. With Pro for the chat you write the text and the button yourself, and the line and the button of the bot are gone.

Privacy
What the bot stores
From the bot's own privacy notes.
For each chat the bot serves it stores the chat id, title and type, the mode (auto or paused), the welcome text and button you set, the approval delay, the Pro status and the id of the person who added the bot.
For each join request it stores the chat, the requester's Telegram id and private chat id, the time, the result (approved, held, failed or no rights) and whether the welcome message was sent. A request held by the Pro delay is kept until it is approved.
The bot keeps a count of welcome messages per chat per minute for its limit of 20 a minute, totals as counters, and the link tag a user first arrived from, such as site. The only other text it stores is a message you send with /paysupport.
FAQ
Questions about Join Approve
Does it work for channels as well as groups?
Yes. It approves join requests for both. Make the bot an admin with the right to add members and turn on "Request admin approval" for the invite link. Telegram sends join requests only for links with that option on.
Why did a new member get no welcome message?
The bot can write to a person only within 5 minutes of the request, it sends at most 20 welcome messages a minute for one chat, and an admin can switch the message off in /setup. In all three cases the request is still approved.
What does Pro cost?
Pro is per chat: 150 Stars once, with no subscription. Chats with 500 or more members are offered 300 Stars per 30 days instead. You pay in a private chat with the bot, never in the group.
